Questions about using a cloud VM to host a server

So I've seen some people using Oracles cloud VM service as a minecraft server and I was wondering if anyone has experience with it and could give me some advice on if I should use it and how

If you're fine with arm and know how to use linux, or are willing to learn linux, go for it just make sure you install ubuntu on it and not oracle linux I mean, it costs you nothing to try

yeah, oracle cloud has a free tier that gives you 250gb of storage, 8 arm cores and 24gb of ram

prevents abuse from people creating multiple accounts cores are slower than a typical cpu, compiled applications need to be compiled specifically for arm Java has arm builds, so Java apps are fine
