Nether taking 20gb in space, is that normal?
Server has been running for quite somewhile but our main world is only ~6GB. It's by far our largest world / file

Could be people travelling in the nether as its faster

not sure if this is still true with the new world heights, but previously, I believe nether region files were bigger due to the nether ceiling also having blocks
@Jeen with chunky trim you can clean up chunks that barely been used
