14 vs 15inch Macbook Pro... Help!

Hey! I know this isn't really a really a programming related question... just wanted to get some other programmers thoughts on form factor. I'm currently typing this on a 13inch macbook pro and am looking to get an upgrade. So just one question Which do you prefer, 14inch or 15inch macbook pro? I've been to the store and checked them out as well, still just really stumped on which one to get. I'm a college student still and go around campus a lot, and bring my laptop. But the screen size is great. For those of you with a smaller 14inch laptop, how hard is it to get work done on a 14inch screen? Thanks guys! ❤️ ❤️

when i'm at home its going to be hooked up to monitors honestly for form factor though, i could go either way, normally I would go for 14inch if I wasnt programming. Just thought I would get other programmers opinions on the bigger 16inch macbook pro if they made a 15inch macbook pro i would buy it i seen, i just really don't like not having fans esp when compiling a rust binary 😭 yeah but there's a ton of other reasons i don't want an air big one too is that i have 3 monitors at home and wouldn't be able to use all of them do you use your 16inch screen at home a lot? or is it docked at home do you find the bigger size awkward on the couch? hmm okay, thanks for the insight

I have both 14 and 16 from work. The weight isn’t a problem imo. To me it comes down to where you will mostly use it. On a desk the 16 is obviously better because of the bigger screen. 2 inches doesn’t seem like a lot but it’s WAY bigger. Downside of the 16 is it’s very uncomfortable when programming on a sofa. I went with a 14 for my personal computer

Don't forget upgrading screen size also impacts the base specs, costing even more.. Very true... decision fatigue strikes again poohheh

I use a 14" and love it. Esp. with the bezzleless tall aspect ratio I don't notice the screen size. Super powerful and compact machine.

Yeah Robot and lerma I think I need to go and see them in person and see what they're like irl... 16 inch specced mbp worth a kidney or two I think mbp specced out is just too much $ 😦 Probably get a 24gb ram air with 1tb Yeah, the difference between specced mba/p could easily get an iphone 😆. Think mb air 24gb 1tb is the play.. anyway not by thread!
