Stuck on “Initializing” and Edge Cert. still pending
I have a worker that i’m trying to connect it to my domain name using Custom Domain. It has been stuck on “Initializing” for days now. I canceled it and looked into Edge Certificates. There was like 3 pending EC (2 universal, 1 Advanced) to the same domain. I deleted all the certificates. and retried to get a custom domain. Now there is only 1 pending advanced certificate. Also I don’t have anything for DNS records except for the
Type: Worker
one.
Will it work now? or do I have to wait like an older post mentioned (3 hours).7 Replies
Unless the Worker Custom Domain isn't covered by your universal (i.e it's deeper then first level), then you shouldn't need the adv. cert at all
Your Universals were pending as well? What's the domain?
luacel.app
I think the Advanced cert was automatically created when I submit to use custom domain
It is autocreated, but you can just delete it if you don't need it, which is the case if the hostname is already covered by your universal/another cert
But why if i don’t have any other cert
Your DNSSEC Configuration is broken
; EDE: 9 (DNSKEY Missing): (no SEP matching the DS found for luacel.app.)

It looks like you set up DNSSEC at your Registrar, Porkbun, but not at Cloudflare (probably because you moved DNS Hosts or something else).
You’ll want to either outright disable DNSSEC, or enable DNSSEC with Cloudflare and update your DNSSEC configuration with the information Cloudflare gives you:
https://developers.cloudflare.com/dns/additional-options/dnssec/
These changes to your DNSSEC Configuration can be done at your Registrar, Porkbun.
I disabled at porkbun and enabled at cloudflare. I just wait now? @chaika.me
or would it be better if I cancel the custom domain and submit another?
nevermind
it’s active now
thank you daddy
Nice! Yea for the future, as long as it says "pending" for the certificate status it will eventually retry.
