Portfolio feedback
I've been working on the second version of my portfolio the last couple of weeks, and I'm curious to know what anyone else thinks. I'm not done yet, (still needs a footer, and mobile responsiveness), but I'm just wanting to maybe get a few pointers if possible. Thanks!
I'm also still updating the contact section. I'm trying to use toastify to send a success alert after the email is submitted, but it's not working at all. Not entirely sure why, but I'm just going to make a custom alert at this point.

Hey Brendan, I took a look and overall, I think you are heading in a good direction. Here are some general thoughts for you:
Overall
1. The page is extremely text heavy, and I would focus on adding interesting visual elements and graphics to make it more stimulating
2. All of the body components are crammed together in the middle of the page. Stretching them out to the same width as your header would look a lot better
3. I don't mind your animations, but i notice if you scroll back up, they look weird in reverse, might consider only making them fire once to avoid that
4. the contrast in your about me section is too low
5. i think there are too many 'other interesting projects' which makes it scroll forever

Hero
This is the main area for improvement. It is the first, and potentially only part of the page someone will see, so it needs to be very attentiong grabbing. The major issues here are:
1. It's 100% text, which is difficult to make visually stimulating
2. Worse, the text is very generic. 'Hi, my name is: insert name' is very overused as a title, and it doesn't show any of your personality
3. The letter spacing on the H1 is too wide
4. The paragraph text and title should be closer to each other than the paragraph text is to the button
5. I am not generaly a fan of a 'resume' CTA in the hero, because the potential hiring agent hasn't even seen any of your work yet
suggestions
1. Use a catchy title instead of your 'hi my name is: insert name'
2. for the paragraph text, this is like a shorter version of your about me section. maybe it would be better to use this space to say your name, what kind of work you are looking for, or why people should choose you over all the other candidates instead
3. some sort of visual interest needs to be here. it can be something minimal like a bg element, or something dynamic like a subtle animation, etc. but you want to add something more to this area.
