❔ WPF - App: Is Tree view the right choice here? Document Management System
Hey currently learning C# by creating a DMS (Document Management System).
My idea is to create a Home Screen like shown in the screenshot.
My question is related to the left side (My Documents). Every User will have his own "Home Screen" and has to possibility to add / remove: Folders and existing Documents. These will only be references to the Documents. Every Document is unique and stored in a Fileserver and the metadata is stored in SQL Server.
Since i am not that experienced i dont know if this is the right approach:
-Since every user has its own "My Documents" i want to make a .xml file to save the structure of the every user. (I want to use .xml because I need to get more knowledge about working with .xml files)
-I will deserialize that .xml files into classes
-After that my plan is to create a databinding to a Tree View
Is this a good approach? Is this a hard approach? Any recommendations or tips?
