❔ vs code extension dev-get type of item under cursor
after being annoyed by the lack of quick documentation access for a library that i use, and no existing extension to provide it, i decided to try and make my own.
my current issue is trying to get the type of whatever was right clicked,
if anybody has ideas please comment.
the idea I am currently trying to research is to get the text from the hover window that shows when you mouse over an item, though its not exactly elegant or foolproof even if it works.
ideally somebody can help me interface with the c# extension, or there is some special dotnet command that can give the type of something given a position in a file.
