Sudden high ping
I never lagged and my internet connection is totally fine, I don't lag on other games, but just on Valorant? I played earlier today and it was fine, but now I'm lagging only on Valorant, why?

You can try restarting your pc, or try lowering some graphics settings
My graphics are already all lowered, and I did just restart both my PC and my router
still lagging

The lagging has to do with how well and fast your pc is processing your game
any idea why i could have high ping?
in my experience, high ping comes from my background apps
if there is an app sitting in my system tray
like edge, google, or steam
when i play val
i close out every background app that is not required to run val or my system
this is to protect from potential ban causes, and of course high ping
i listen to music on youtube, never had any problem with that
and sometimes it does
but even with that closed, and any other unnecessary process in the background, i get high ping
what is your network provider if i may ask
virgin media, from uk
perhaps there might be high bandwidth in that area
sometimes the wifi conks out and is just slow
try restarting your router

but i already tried to restart, and usually that fixes it (that when i get even low speed, for example by checking on speedtest)
but i just run another test, i get 330Mbps download
I tried that, didnt work
my message was blocked bc i mentioned the speedtest link

im on 1gb fiber and my speed is fine on everything except valorant so something is going on for sure.

it was solved later that same night
it was indeed my service provider, after checking online, many others had internet issues with my provider
it's weird how I was lagging only on valorant, but I had nothing to do but wait a couple of hours
