Ping issue

Alright so I decide to hop on Valorant today and notice that my ping is significantly higher than what I'm used to, I go to see if I by any chance have a VPN on, or anything of the sort that is related to my connection, internet etc. To my surprise I don't see a single issue with my internet or having some sort of VPN enabled without me knowing, I restart my PC, I delete certain apps on my PC and try a lot of different methods and still the same problem occurs

have you tried a simple reset of the connection?
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

I will try it soon, but why should resetting my internet have any effect I played one comp match today and in the very first round my ping was normal (19-25). Then later in the second round my ping spikes up to 120, I lag for a moment, then my game comes back and I was averaging (85-91) throughout the entire game Does this really have anything to do with internet ok it seems like i had to update my game to have my ping go back to normal

resetting it could have a difference since packet loss could be causing the ping increases and not the actual delay itself, glad it fixed itself tho
