HTML Image Maps - Is this feature worth learning?
Hello. I'm currently learning HTML and have came across the HTML Image Maps element. For those of you with experience, is this used often? I can't seem to think of a scenario as to where this would even be useful. Not to mention that its probably not that good for assistive technology? It seems pointless, and just wanted to ask if its even worth researching and learning about the feature. Thanks.

I thought they were deprecated if I'm totally honest
you used to use them way back in the day to create an image based menu, where the entire thing was just one big .jpg, and then defined regions for all the buttons you could click, but I haven't done that in an Age
I'd say, know they exist so you can look it up if you ever run into one in the wild, but pretty much every problem they solve has a better solution now
