duplicates in android app
Android app shows duplicate files in app. Searching the web interface does not. Any way to fix this? Already tried deleting the app and reinstalling.

Did you perhaps installing the app from different sources, i.e F-droid, APK or PlayStore?
Nope. All from play store

After running a storage migration job, I'm also having the same issue. Installed from github. Hold on let me grab logs if needed
Even before the storage migration job I used to have a few. Now there's several on older items (not new items)

Nope. I only use android app

If you logout and log back in, does the issue still persist?
I have cleared data of the app and re logged back in too. Same issue
Were the photos taken on this phone and originally backed up on this phone and with immich only installed from one store?
Could you share the app logs (profile drawer, logs, share)?
In my case immich installed from github, photos are from the phone
Okay. I'll clean the names of the albums and send tonight. (I have completely purged immich and remade it because it turns out I had an issue with the database because it was a second installation on top of an old one so the unique asset counter was broken.
Now it's all fine however I still have the logs saved since I see others having the same issue. I now have another issue which is I see some photos being not at all backed up. Only in local. Despite it not being duplicates and in the same album as being backed up)
+1 same issue. Multiple devices connected to same server but only one device has this issue. Issue persists after clearing data, reinstalling, relogging in etc.
Did you upload from CLI which contains the photos/videos on the device you saw the duplication? This is a known issue after the implementation of the offline functionality
Nope. I did upload other photos and videos but not the ones which show up as duplicate on this device. Also it's not happening on latest photos but only on ones which were uploaded before a certain date. May be clearing cache etc fixed it for the new ones.
Interesting.. I guess we need to add some displayable debug info to assets
I had the same issue today (but I am using iPhone app). My total backups changed from -900 to 0 out of nowhere and my entire library started backing up again. Interestingly enough, I currently have everything duplicated, one but with a plain cloud and one with a cloud with a tick. Nothing has changed, not the device, not the server, not the application... nothing 🤷🏻♂️ The only thing I see in the logs is a lot of untitled errors.
Backup is currently independent of the sync/display logic. Not sure what's the issue there. I assume, on the web there are no duplicates visible?
