i was wondering if the “true stretched res” method using winexp was bannable as i’ve seen some people say it was but no legitimate proof

yes it is. everything that gives you a bit of advantage you will get someday banned off
its just really hard for vanguard to detect is what i heard
so thats maybe why people say its legit
