What character does a Newbie play?
I just got this game yesterday and I played the tutorial before heading to sleep and I wanted to know for somebody with not much experience what player to pick and start with that’s fun?

I suggest starting on a sentinel like sage or killjoy
They're viable on pretty much every map and the learning curve isn't as steep
sage is the best agent to learn the game. i think stick to her untill u reach gold-plat.
Phoenix is made to be a "jack of all trades" and has a little but if everything, playing him for a while is generally beneficial to the learning

Jett is rly easy to understand her abilities

i would recommend (if u can) getting xbox gamepass so u unlock all agents and u can try them all out
if not you can just unlock normally but that was just to speed it up

Pheonix, Sage, Brim and Sova so you could get a grasp of the overall gameplay within valo
other characters between these 4 are a bit more complex
acquiring experience on playing these four will improve your game sense all around the game and lets you progress and try other agents after a while

he does really good in detail guides for players from the low-high ranks

jett knives take aim
and is only useful if you can hit 3/5 (besides hs)
and dash is difficult for newer players
