broken F-droid update on Samsung S22

since the upgrade to 1.49.0 of android app I cannot longer access my instance. I tried reinstall, cleared data and cache. the app is stuck at the logo screen, not getting login screen. I also tried the app from playstore but it looks like there is not support for oAuth help please.

Yea, there is basically a new internal database added in the app as of 1.49.0 and it's causing this issue for some users

is there a workaround?

Sticking to the previous version, however you would need to do that on your server too If you've already updated, you won't be able to easily downgrade your server

ok, is there a tracked issue, maybe it will be fixed in next releases?

Ah, looking at the existing issue, specifically the build on f-droid is broken You can install directly from the github release, however this will change your device ID and will mean your device won't know what has already been uploaded It'll try to upload them again, but won't duplicate on the server, as it'll realise they're the same file

@Zack yes, it is the F-Droid issue. @mariomare22 We already know what's causing it but don't know yet how to get F droid to not delete essential files during it's build process. For the time being, using the APK from GitHub is the correct workaround
