Lag on low ping
I’m usually playing valorant at 15 ping but if I reach 20 it starts saying network error or something like that and also high average ping and I start lagging and I keep having lag backs. Is this a problem with wifi?

It is probably a problem with your wifi yes. Check your packet loss stat and tell me the %
How do you check that
in settings
run a speed test
I know nothing abt that
Windows settings?
Then what
no in game settings
Then what
What do I do after clicking on settings
@kinito
you enable the packet loss stat...
and tell me the %
Ok I’ll do it later and I’ll let u know sorry I’m kinda new to valorant
But how would I fix the lag spikes
@kinito i turned it on
do i just go in a game
?
Yeah go into a deathmatch
its not showing percent
it sometimes does
but it says in total over 1 thousand
i get 80 percent whenever i do get packet loss
How do I stop lag spikes
That would be your problem
I use telus wifi
Should I get my own router
So I don’t share with family?
Or is that not the problem
What is your download and upload speed?
Sorry, how do I find that?
Google "speed test"
K
Does it have to be on pc?
I tested on phone and I got this
It said my internet was fast
Test on your pc too
K
I will but not rn
The thing you play valorant on. I used to have this issue and it's because I had like 20 down 5 up.
@JSN
It’s very fast
How am I still lagging
Yeah I have no idea haha sorry
Bruhh
Maybe because I’m sharing wifi with family?
My pc motherboard comes with wireless wifi
So I can connect to my telus wifi seperatly
Are you using 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz?
And how far are you from your router?
2.4ghz
The router this right next to my pc
But the wifi that it’s coming from is probably like 10 meters away
Does your pc not connect from wifi directly to the router?
And at that point use an eternity cable
*ethernet
That would stop the packetloss
No. If hes THAT close, the problem is primarily the router. His router is probably dying
Nope
Well actually
I’m on second floor
Wifi is on first floor
Just right under me
My router is fine and so is wifi
How do you know? Your wifi is fast but it's dropping packets
Well the wifi is telus and like I’m just pretty sure it’s fine
It could be my pc
How old is your wifi card?
Not sure but it’s pretty new
Probably under 1 yr
