Figma Design Mobile for Project plugin suggestions and tips
Any good plugins that could help with figma that others commonly use? I'm a noob to the software. Also, I'm curious for my mobile design if I should do viewport based width and height for my screen or device? Using this site here to get an idea on where to start...

There's a plethora of devices for people to choose from and it can be daunting to try to accommodate and build for the best experiences on all devices.

I don't really use any plugins on figma. A lot of people like to add unsplash to quickly put images into sections and get a better feel for how the design will look
and for your question on mobile design, in figma, you don't need to worry about viewport or pixels. I generally do like 1400x5000 for my initial desktop (and resize as needed), and 450x7000 for my initial mobile frames
basically, make one frame that is generally desktop shaped
and another frame that is much more narrow / vertical phone screen shaped
in the end, you are only going to use your figma as a design document. So it is just a template of how the page would look once coded. Altho, some people do go full send and make 'architectural drawings' that exactly match what the end result will be, but this is a whole lot of work you don't need to do if you are both the designer and the coder
Granted my looks terrible ill probably post it when finish for some review since I'd like to send it to business after coded up. Im not very good at design but im trying. Is it possible to make drop menus in figma for navigation? If so, I'm trying to do thumb driven navigation
you can prototype menus and drop downs for sure
you'll need to make menu 'components' first, if you google that a bunch of help will come up
and if you ever need design 'support', just hit me up, I'm happy to help out, haha ๐
