Is Valorant coming on Mac?
I really want to play Valorant but I only have a mac. I don't think I will be able to get a Windows. Is releasing a game on mac very difficult? I heard that they're working on a mobile version.

Yeah don't play on a mac
unless you want it to break in like a few months
um
macs are not meant for games, they will burn up and slowly degrade.
I played cs on mac
it was ok
cs is different
i think the newer macs will be enough for them-
since thats on steam and works for mac
I have a "newer" mac (intel chip)
CS worked fine, about 120 fps
i have a m1 mac-
however, valorant killed it
no like
Oh, then you probably can't
you dont have bootcamp
usually when people say val on mac, they mean bootcamp on the intel chips
i was trying to see if there was a development going on for a mac standalone
m1 does not support bootcamp anymore
Highly doubt it
its such a niche market
apple is also a pain to get games on their app store
I dont think riot would be working with steam any time soon
they could make install files like dmg to install from their website
I just doubt they would even consider it
mm
k
Yeah still, its just not something work putting effort into imo
macbooks really shouldnt be handling games
ok
thanks-
afiak we have no plans for mac
Idk what the answer was to being able to run val on a vm, but if you can, you can try running a windows vm and getting valorant on that.
yall gotta port it to mac, i wasted over a thousand dollars on this junk ðŸ˜
There's a lot of games that aren't out for mac
What specs does it have to be that much?
They can game tho
They dont explode
I played many games on my m1pro
Like genshin impact runs perfectly
sorry, but i dont think that's in our plans. if VAL was the priority when buying a computer, then getting a mac was a bad idea. if it wasn't the priority, then i'm sure your money was well-spent either way.
I bought an m1 macbook pro because i thought it would be a good laptop for school and gaming based on how they advertised it, its a decent school computer but it lacks games to play and val always seemed interesting to play
unfortunate. macs have never really been "gaming computers". sounds like they tried to advertise it as such, but many games aren't made for mac.
sadly theoretically will macs ever get a mac port, does it even have the capability to run val? ðŸ˜
i already said that i dont think it's in our plans https://discord.com/channels/679875946597056683/1075350397520187492/1078440445627076698
oh yeah, sorry
macs can run val with bootcamp. I don't think it is technically riot supported, but it'll still work, although the performance will be pretty bad
m1 and m2 macs cant run bootcamp :/
ah sorry, didn't know that
not sure then
its alr
