Waya Bot does not respond to commands
Hi there, so I have spent most of my evening working on a new and thought through community and gaming server. Now I was about to setup the welcome message and card for Waya but it did not respond to anything .
NOTE: Previously it worked without an issue because I set up the logging system and some other things.
Now Waya has all the necessary permissions both for it's own role and server's bot role. I actually have a bot role that's mainly for showing bots in color and seperated from online and regular members. Then I have a role containing all bot permissions and Waya has them both.

I reboot whole infra, alls services should be back in max 5 minutes
to be honest idk why it happened, discord is probably just drunk and kicked all my bots out of the live connections as everything outside of that worked

Bruh....Discord needs to get their shit together. I've been noticing that lately quite a few new platforms similar to discord are appearing. They might kill off discord at one point if discord doesn't fix their shit and act better

Reason was spam and platform abuse

I was asking about adding more supported image formats because when you look on Google, you'll often get images that are using the Webp format. However that format isn't widely supported or very popular , or very liked by the users due to compatability issues.
In my case I want to update welcome card background , but the desired image is in Webp format which Waya doesn't seem to recognize as it sets the welcome card to default background instead of the one I provided.
You could also implement a library of already available backgrounds to choose from. Another good implementation would be preset blacklisted word lists in multiple languages to provide more use for Waya on multilingual communities
the image formats are linited of what javascripts Cancas api supports. The code works like that it always tries to get and set the image, and if that causes an error it uses the default. So I am not 100% sure yet how to implement that, but I will try looking into it
Iâve already implemented a way i to the image renderer yesterday so you can change the color of the text so whiteish images also work
Yes I was actually going to ask you to implement a way to change the color of the text on welcome card. That could help a lot with the customization of the welcome card.
As for the background of the card, I am looking forward to seeing more image formats supported for Waya and welcome card personalization. Discord also has issues with webp files.
When I try to set a Webp image as my pfp, I get the error "couldn't find image data" and my pfp doesn't get changed. So you might also want to contact discord to fix it on their end before you implement Webp as one of the supported formats.
i probably wonât add support for them directly, I will just convert it to a png/jpg on the server directly
Well Waya still needs to recognize the image for it to convert it, so direct support will be needed either way.
what I mean with 'direct' is that it wont directly use the webm to display but rather convert it to another format which will be used
but anything animated will be a bit of pain as the tool I am using (which is directly build into the language I am using) is for rendering images and less videos (what gifs practically are)
Uhh Luna? I think the bot may have an issue with welcome cards as it didn't work with PNG either when I just tried using a PNG image.
You might wanna look in to that.

I copied your image into paint, exported it again as a PNG and now it works
Well I have multiple outer images that are PNG and that also do not did not work. I will add the links to them bellow.

I didnt make any of the images. I took them all from Google.
what if you use the image link from google? (a direct image link, not the link of the google site the image is on)
I don't really use those. Plus I I rather use a discord link since my discord tends to stop working when I exit it

and why they work when I put them into paint and export them again
I also don't know the answer to that, however as a mobile user I do not have the option to put the images in paint and then export them. I have a pc, however it uses Linux (Ubuntu) and not windows
Broken images are not all that uncommon. I've had to deal with many such images, but I didn't think that these were broken .

I know, but still. I do enjoy using paint when I get to work with a windows PC.
Paint is a high quality app that offers many tools and features to make good art and edits. Prior to paint my edits were bad, but with paint they've significantly improved.
