AI learns patterns in images like any human would. It embeds each pattern with a word like any human would. It then recreates each pattern using what it has learnt like any human would.

Art styles are not copyrighted. However, many people have said that it is unethical for people to use their artworks in the AI database. The issue is that Stable Diffusion does not remove artists’ works when training the AI - that’s the ethical problem.
Your 6th point doesn’t disprove that the AI uses artwork from people who does not want it used in that manner.
Plenty of artists use works from other artists to reference works that “look akin” to the work they’re trying to produce, in this case its no different. AI doesn't take entire compositions or poses from other artworks but it uses them to create its own composition and characters.
It is unethical to train artworks in a database in the same way it is unethical for OpenAI to train literature from websites, articles and books, to create GPT-3 and later ChatGPT. And that's fine, because, again, there are limits to the rights of creators, and the world is better for the existence of fair use.

I wasn't comparing the skills. I was saying an artist can't do anything without the tools they use to make their artwork, which was in context to the argument. Nothing in there is about skills. Throughout the argument i do mention it takes far less skill and effort to generate art. That's whats good about AI art. It drops the skill boundary to make good looking art so that anyone has the freedom to express themselves without the time and money investment.
Just like how 'prompt making' skills are useless without the AI which was the argument puck was making. I countered that by saying the skills to make art is useless without the means to make them, hence the brush and laptop/tablet

I’ve never avoided the backlash. I am facing them and I’ve fully known what I was getting into. I’ve never complained about the backlash I get but instead encourage it. AI art is something that needs to be talked about from either viewpoint. It is shitty when someone who puts less effort than you “produces” better work than you. That’s why I think artists should embrace and use AI as a tool to make art. At the end of the day it isn’t AI that will replace artists but someone using AI just might.

It has its own tag, to clarify it's AI. Don't worry about it.
We gave AI its own tag and require users to put AI art under the correct category so users have the option to filter AI images out. Though it’s not fully accepted within artists, AI images are going to prevail and continue to regulate whether we like it or not. Additionally, not everyone dislikes it. There are many users who tend to enjoy and appreciate AI Images as it’s a way for people to express themselves visually like artists without the abilities.
Though I personally dislike them being in fanart as well, I also recognize that these users just wanna post a pretty image to share with others they were involved with the creation of in some way. We have the AI tag so people can choose to opt out of AI searches in hopes for a compromise.
