fall 2023 CPA is full. what do i do 💀
I applied for fall 2023 CPA at Newham campus, and just got an email that it is full. I am considering applying for CPP but it doesn't have coop. It's very important to me to start exactly in fall 2023 (fleeing from russia), but I guess I maybe could wait till winter. I do know that CPA is also available at international academy campus but the building looks kinda ugly and I don't really wanna be put in fully international student environment (maybe I am wrong about the environment, just guessing from the name). Any advice? Is coop important, and would it help to get an entry job?

A lot of people start with CPP and swap to CPA by third semester to get into coop
You can transfer from CPP to CPA down the line.
Take CPP then. Don't worry about Coop, it isn't what you think it is. You can transfer to CPA later if you want, the first few semesters have identical courses for CPP/CPA.
I take classes in Newham, it appears to me there are many international students around lol 😂, that's not bad anyway.
thanks everyone, gonna apply for cpp. btw can you also transfer from international academy to newham?
you can, but i heard its really difficult process and ppl in seneca dont really like doing it for u too
my friend tried to do it and they still had many reasons to reject her transfer for a year and she just gave up on that idea but there were ppl who transferred
Really it is full..? I literally applied 2 weeks ago to CPA summer 2023 and already received an offer. Apply for May 2023 lol.
@xhos. Holy shit myou're from Russia! Everything is crazy over there right now. I get it lol
You should also know that international students are given 2nd priority over domestic. They keep a certain quota. So the program is not actually full, they have just reached their capacity of international applicants they have approved.
Gonna reapply for winter 2023, I also was told that there is a chance to in the Fall if there will be seats. I would've gone with May if not for enormous visa wait
@xhos. If I were you I would apply for CPP Fall imediately. It is the EXACT same program for the first 3 semesters, then apply for transfer into CPA and do a your 1st co-op, After your 4 month co-op you continue into semester 4 as a CPA student.
nah its full too
Oh shit lol
I guess this year the amount of applicants are excessive
covid 19 died down people want to go back to school
My brother is coming from Russia too but he applied to SIA campus since newham is full
You could try that too
For fall 2023
Is SIA the Markham campus?
They gave it a new name now?
yea for international students
location is not that convenient but hey at least something
and u can just try and pick online courses
id rather wait till winter than go to SIA honestly
Yeah one semester won’t make big difference
can i ask you a few questions about application ?
@Mscofield sure
did you need to provide any extra documents for the application ?
@Mscofield I applied as a domestic student
how many months before did you apply ?
ill call you@Mscofield Good morning. I applied in January
end of january
oh i see thanks a lot
i am currently in academic upgrading program and i want to apply end of this semester
i was wondering if i can make it september or 2024 january
@Mscofield You dont need to do academic upgrading to get into to CPA. You can take a arithmetic math admissions test at seneca to get in. It cost $55.00
The academic upgrading is a waste of time and money @Mscofield
i didnt pay for upgrading program. plus english is not my first language , so i had to take english course
have no problem with math though
