Remove a character from the level and death list
Can an admin remove characters from the watchlist if the user himself is no longer part of the discord server?

If the user is not part of the server, it should not be tracked by default
The character must be part of a watchlist, guild in a watchlist, etc
he was part of the server. Added his name to the watchlist using the 'im xxx' command. But has since left our server
this is not adding himself to a watchlist, this is just a normal user register
NabBot should only announce changes for characters that are registered to a member that is part of the server. If this is still happening, unless there would be a bug somewhere (but nobody else has complained about), there is probably a watchlist on your server that includes the character. For example, a watchlist that includes a guild the character is part of
Or a watchlist for hunted characters, or friends, etc. Please check your watchlists
@NabBot watchlist viewall
There are no watchlists in this server.
maybe my use of the word watchlist was wrong. I mean levle up and death notifications
we keep receiving level up messages from these characters even though he's no longer part of the guild
Are you sure the character is not registered to a new discord user who is part of the server?
pretty sure. I'll verify once again. What i do know is that his other guild also uses nabbot
and he's still in there and registered there
the person in question actually only joined our server to explain how things worked
This shouldn't influence your server
If there is no watchlist in your server, only characters registered to your users should be announced
i'll double check with him again then. There's a few people in the server who haven't changed their server nicknames yet so not 100% sure who they are exactly. But when I asked him about it earlier he mentioned he joined, helped some people using the bot commands, then left again
i'll double check and get back to this if i'm sure he's no longer part
can i work the other way around? Can i see which user is linked to a name on the announces?
maybe someone copy pasted the commands a bit too literrely
can you also check
@NabBot whitelist guild list
, to make sure your server doesn't follow just some guilds
and you can check who a character belongs to with the whois <name>
command
if the character belongs to a user, you will see additional information regarding their user
you can see the difference by checking your own character vs checking some character from another world, like Goraca or someone else certainly not in your discordok yep. That clears things up :p
You must use this command via your server channels, not via Private Messages to NabBot
via PM it would still show if you share another server with them
he is indeed still in our server and is 1 of those people I didn't know who it was
👍
thanks for the assistance
no problem, glad I could help
Are you a dev btw? Mind if i ask a few technical questions about how the bot works in the background?
let me start by explaining a bit:
I'm a dev myself (C# / .Net). In the past i've joined other projects to add some features i felt were needed, to then 'remove myself' again once done.
What i'm currently missing are some simple tools to help with guildhunt organisation. We are currently using Apollo bot for this, but I'm not happy with it.
I'm not saying yet I'm interested in adding features to Nabbot yet, but would it even be possible? Is nabbot dev team looking for assistance? If not I can already stop thinking about it.
That would be a question for the owner, @Galarzaa
Currently, the project is under private repositories and not open source (it was, in the past)
The production version is running in python. However, a Kotlin rework is in the works (currently delayed)
If there are ideas, you can definitely make suggestions, they are usually taken and gathered together in a Trello board for tracking and prioritization
