❔ How to clean 100% sure an infected pc?
I found so far nobody that helped me. I never had an infected pc or computer
I spoke with Toshiba (my pc's manufacturer) and I used as synonym "reboot" and "factory reset" but I got told they are 2 different things
My pc currently does not do anything weird, until a few days there was a fake pop up window that would show with nothing in there but I fixed it
I work with my pc and I still have doubts that my pc is 100% clean from viruses, malware s etc.
Few days ago I transferred the important files to a hard drive, I don't think they are infected but can I removed all viruses if I do backup of infected files?
What's the best and most effective course of action to get back my pc 100% safe and clean when wiping everything out?

wipe and reinstall windows
just having an infected file on disk is harmless, unless you run it and the virus injects itself in autostart or modifies some programs or files. a system reinstall would clean the autostart and registry and whatnot, so you should be fine after that
