(Repost) Tips on getting a better CV resume layout

I have the skeleton of the resume built up. But I cannot get the font-sizes correct.
Do I need to set up utility classes for myself and tweak them?
And also is it alright to use icons to represent contacts?
Do ppl tend to find its meaning unclear?
Appreciate your opinions.
