Request missing Genders, Pronouns & Sexualities here
I've just found your Pronouns Bot following the death of the "other one" (it seems, hasnt worked in at least 1.5 weeks).
I'm just getting this setup on my server, had a couple of questions:-
1. Is there a way for the bot to default to this casing "Male" instead of defaulting to lower case of "male" - I know I can go in manually and edit the names of the roles that are created but its a bit of a nuisance
2. Is there a way of restricting people's choices, so that they don't create a new pronoun which is a typing error? for example, someone types "He/Thy" by mistake and it creates a role, can I restrict normal users from adding pronouns/genders/sexualities that haven't already been added by myself?

Hey, I may can look into it not using lowercase but rather pascal (first latter uppercase), the problem would just be that it may destroy Pronouns on all other guilds based on how it works, the bot searches the role in discord and uses the one who is named the same way, we do not store any role id's anyhow to protect users privacy. And it is not possible for users to misspell (such as
Thy) as only "approved" pronouns/sexualities/genders can be added, and they (should) be all spelled correctly
And that you want to stop letting user's create new roles, I may add this as a feature today or tomorrow (depending when I have the time for it). Jfyi my time is CETthere we go!

I was just worried that people mistype a gender/sexuality/pronoun and it creates roles that are not valid
yup, I can give you a list of all that are allowed if you want
yeah please, your website had a list but I was getting an error message when trying to view it (not sure if you are aware or not)

while I'm thinking out loud, would it be possible to assign an emoji to a role?
the "Pronoun Picker" bot died 1.5 weeks ago or so, and that had a function where you could assign an emoji for a pronoun, I was thinking of assigning blobs 😄

If your server happens to be level 2, you can do that, else if you add in the role name, it breaks as we don't store anything

oh, one more questions sorry, as an admin can I set other peoples sexualities/genders/pronouns for them ?
Just give them the role
on their behalf, some people cant get their head round the commands so I like to do it for them

meant to ask one last thing, is there a way of having the bot giving buttons for people to press to do this as well?
a bit like how the "other" bot did it:-

that would be a really good option
my other bot uses that approach lol (https://discord.com/channels/828676951023550495/828677566150737981/1028636517733765243), but it's limited to just that what you see there in terms of buttons, the message is completely customizable tho (and it syncs the selection between guilds);
but it doesn't do genders or sexualities
it's kinda hard to make a select menu or button for @Pronouns based on the amount
discord limits us to max 5 buttons in each row and 5 rows, which means max 25 buttons

maybe it could be done with the most common ones, and if the button isn't there they can use the manual command 😮
dont worry if not, it's a "nice to have" not an absolute necessity

just going back to this for a moment, would be great if you can use pascal please, or set the bot so that when it looks for an existing role that it isnt casing specific (so it detects "Male" instead of only "male")
I have a bunch of different roles on the server and they are all with pascal casing, so to have these new roles in lowercase only looks weird 🙂

did you update that a short time ago? because I added my gender earlier, renamed it from male to Male, and then someone else added "Male" and it didn't assign him to the existing now "Male" it created "male" role as well
