Small before triangles position

I have this small triangles created with ::before, but when I set shadow on them (to match the parent), they show up above, although I changed the z-index. So from what I'm understanding, the z-index of the parent dictates it to the ::before & ::after elements. Is there a way to take up front? This is the page (and section) for reference. https://cozynova.online/windcutter/#New-Player

a filter: drop-shadow(); on your .content should cover both shadows
