I think that's ok. We just need to reduce calls to our db and r2. As long as most requests are able to fetch from the cache that's fine. If the cache is empty we just call out to our db and r2

Yeah cool, that should be plenty. Purging will only occur when a site update is published. Which should be relatively infrequent.
Btw, off topic question - is workers for platforms in GA now? I noticed the docs updated a few days ago but didn't see an announcement - maybe I missed it
