Improve FPS
Hello so I wanna ask how I can improve my fps. i am currently playing on a RTX 3050 and an i5 10300h and 8gb of ram. I am getting 100-130 fps on low as well as on high settings but with some random fps drops to 20fps. How can I improve them?

(I am on a laptop, not PC)
(this is probably why)
a 3050 on a pc is different to a 3050 on a laptop
ik
But it only uses like 10% of my GPU?
And the 3050 pc version cannot be 2x as good as the laptop version. ik that valorant is cpu based but why do other CPU's that are almost the same as good way faster?
Go in power plan settings and change your mode to either High Performance or Ultimate
I already did lol.
Well, idk why this is happening. Is it because I play on a laptop`?
Cause it seems like valorant performs worse on laptop than on pc.
lol, if I do my fans on max power then it wont perform better. My GPU is at 50° and my CPU is maybe at 70
when I turn my fans up
Like someone I know owns an i3 12100f and an RX6500XT and he is getting double of the fps that I am getting. (PC)
And if I compare the parts in other games he would get the same amount of fps than me.
pcs are just better at handling games in general compared to laptops
fr
rtx 3050 can give out like 400 fps + with a good processor
on laptop everything gets worse
yeah
bruh i have a friend with a 2060 laptop
i have a 1060 pc
and i get way more consistent fps that him
well its compact so they have to forcefully smaller the gpu and cpu which is less efficient an cannot be fully used
his i5 10300h might already be bottlenecking with the rtx 3050
cooling is a factor but valorant is a cpu based game
it’s only after i upgraded my cpu that i obtained 240 avg and with a 1050 ti too
but yeah a laptop is a laptop only so much u could do for cooling
none of the games is cpu based
you probably got lower than 240 because of your cpu bottlenecking with the gpu, means that your cpu was low end and was not as fast as your gpu to process high speeds, other then that, every game is based on gpu most
Either way laptop or not he shouldn’t be dropping to 20 frames
Make sure vsync is disabled. Power plan as someone mentioned. Run in admin mode. Id monitor task manager computer usage on a second monitor while gaming to see if gpu/cpu are bottlenecking.
at 1080p i5 "" bottlenecks 3050
so that might be an isue
its not much of a bottleneck tho
to call it a serious fps drop to 20
might be some other issue
Well, sometimes it actually drops to 20. Just tried to lower some settings to prevent some fps drops (But the fps still didn't increase.)
I also closed down steam in the task menu as well as some other useless stuff.
If your fps isn’t increasing with substantially changes graphic settings, you do either have v-sync enabled or a custom frame limit set.
