Servers closer are worse?

I have better ping connecting to Illinois (60) than I do connecting to Cali West (116) Even though I live in Tijuana Mexico. My ping on other games connecting to USW is around 12. does anyone know how to fix??

i have tried queueing the server to see if it was visual and its actually giving 120 ping

There's Texas servers for NA accounts. For latam accounts there's Miami and Mexico city servers.
