Is it me, or is rem kinda deprecated today?

I just had an experience trying to zoom in using 30px vs 1.875rem. I don't see any differences between those two. Does every browser support the solution that we don't really need to use rem today any longer?

one of the reasons to use rem instead of px, is if the user has changed their default font size. Rem is responsive to that and px is not

Indeed. your browser/os has set the default font-size to 16px; but if a user prefers another size, rem will adjust to that

I'd honestly argue the reverse, rem is responsive and accessible, px is not responsive and potentially not accessible, so should probably be avoided especially for font sizes

Thanks for the answer guys! Really appreciate it! It was just that I was really confused since I couldn't see any changes with a 30px vs 1.875rem I assume that if you change the OS/browser, the em will be responsive and adjust to the px side from my machine as well?

yeah, I saw that on the comments I took a test by adjusting my browser to default font size 6px. I can absolutely see difference between 64px vs 4rem
