Why is the match-making so bad?
Hi, I'm new here. My level as player is just 7, and so far I've always played in Deathmatch. Now there are so many players who can kill you just with one or two shots (right in the head) even from a long distance. This makes the game very frustrating and completely useless to beginners like me. What's the point of this unfair match-making?

id say go in practice and first find the crosshair your comfortable with. After start to focus on your aim, go on practice and go to shooting bots range. After if crouch is ruining your aim disable it. If this doesn’t work, record a video of you playing a unrated match. View your gameplay and try to find the mistakes your making. After record another unrated match. And see if you can fix all your mistakes that you made last round.
Also before starting any of this focus on finding the right sensitivity for you
And no it isn’t unfair, It’s just that there’s so many different types of players in your lobby and they understand the mechanics and physics of valorant which makes them playing in your lobby much more easier
just wait till u play comp
^^ No the gold wasnt smurfing he was bad
Ok, but why are there so many "different" players in the same game? (Don't know what you exactly mean by "lobby") Why are beginners and experts together?
why dont u play unrated?
deathmatch u play with anyone queing bro
And "anyone" means practically... what?
anyone queing
UNFAIR MATCH MAKING COPIUM
So beginners and experts?
like literally everyone
anyone.
Yes, so beginners and experts
yes
That's basically my point, I guess
thats also my point
why are u going to dms?
when u can go to unrated where beginners can play
and not many "experts" play
because dms are basically the playground of "experts"
dms = demonstrate? Sorry, I don't speak English in daily life
dm=deathmatch
I really didn't know about that! Actually, I remember something from Riot guidelines saying Deathmatch is good for beginners or whatever
well yeah, but u need to play unrated a bit more
Let me see...
your english is good
Thank you! It must be your kinda nerdy language I very rarely read... especially when the game is very new to me
yeah u wouldnt know cause its VALORANT specific acronyms
Deathmatch: "This mode is designed to sharpen your skills..." Riot Support page. Anyway, so what play mode would you recommend for players like me?
i think maybe the people in deathmatch are killing you so fast because your match making rating is higher than it actually should be so if you play couple more you should have people around your skill level
i think just play unrated until you understand the game a bit more
deathmatch is mostly for aiming and movement
Uhm... a couple more games losing, right? Well you actually always lose in Deathmatch if you're not the very first
And I'm never the first
yeah thats what i ment
unless you already played like 5 deathmatches
My deaths record is something like 19 in a game, but the best I've seen is 40.
thats ok the point of deathmatch is not to win
its to practice
most of the time when i win deathmatch its by accident
I played several games all in Deathmatch in these weeks, don't know how many exactly. At first it was very funny! Now it's just frustrating
then why do u continue?
to get better lol
i mean, if its frustrating for him, he has to try playing unrated for sure
yeah thats true
do u go really negative each time?
less kills than deaths
I about to stop, I guess! I asked for help from you right now. But what do you mean by "unrated"? What's the precise mode?
unranked
the first one in the tab
Look, I can't count how many times I get killed... but... well...
it shows when you press tab
or when you check career
idk though thats unfortunate
id say skill issue but thats immature and not helpful lmao
i think just play unrated if ppl in deathmatch are so good
When you need a team, right?
Deathmatch is the only "single player" mode, right?
I'll see the statistics later. Anyway I noticed a change in my playing... I'm becoming way too cautious...
Just because it's soo easy to get killed, and so difficult to kill... Now I make something like 5 deaths when I'm generally motivated. But now I just don't like it anymore
Let's sum up: either I get unranked or I get more skilled by training or something
Do you agree?
its just that people have more understanding of the game when first
isn’t experts, mostly in low level lobbies it’s smurfs and they can ruin your gameplay as a beginner.
or it’s just others that learn how to get better at valorant quickly etc movement strafing, crosshair placement and physics of valorant
but it’s mostly smurfs in your lobbies
Let me understand, is Deathmatch the only unranked play mode?
Where less skilled and more skilled players face each other?
okay, deathmatch is a place for u hone ur skills. ur not there to win or anything, it's to improve aim, movement, holding angles basically what u need to use in competitive that's why u meet skilled players, everyone does as 150+ level i also do face these opponents but i don't get frustrated it just means i'm definitely not at their level n i wanna be there one day.
while unrated is a whole different thing, this game mode is to make u experience the actual game it's self. u'll go against 5 enemy with ur teammates so a 5v5. it's to prepare u to fully understand the game n all the keys to everything so when u enter competitive ur ready to face ur same level of players. but ofc not everyone feels the same, maybe as a beginner u'll think that but as a player who hv been playing for quite long, i usually play with my friends to hv fun.
fax
for now, all u hv to do is understand the game, know the call outs n basically acronyms we use in the game valorant. after ur used to everything, u'll understand WAY more than u do now, ur only beginning ur journey ur not useless, don't got to rush experience fun first then serious, it's a game after all. but ofc, for beginners like u i say play a little spike rush to learn all the guns n map easily then u can start slowly heading to unrated to understand how to play with ur teammates. don't get frustrated if u do go against an expert or a skilled player, their everywhere so it's impossible to not meet one if i were u take it as a challenge or like "damn their good, gotta get better so i can go against one fairly next time" it's how i always think. getting angry is not gonna get u anywhere
