railway app websockets?
Any clue if railway supports a server using websockets?

Yes the railway app doesn't shutdown so Websockets should be possible. Just need to expose the
PORT
using the env variable.@SeanCassiere any clue what happens behind the scenes as they scale your servers up and down? like if they auto-scale your container down, won't that kill all your websocket connections?
That's actually a really good question. TBH I'm not too sure on that.
I mean, they offer a Soketi template, so they must have someway in which they deal with it. https://railway.app/templates
Although, I'm not sure about their strategy behind it. May be a good question, for the Railway team on their Discord server.

Railway is an infrastructure platform where you can provision infrastructure, develop with that infrastructure locally, and then deploy to the cloud.
Was looking to find any responses from the Railway team on this, and noticed that you already had a thread open. I'm definitely interested in their response.

yeah, they don't explain how they scale up or down
just that they scale....
I wonder if they just scale your container's cpu and VM up and that's about it
they might not even load balance and distribute your containers
Yup quite possibly just moving the container resources up and down.
TBH I haven't really been bothered to load test it. Maybe if I get a free day I may give it a shot... Just don't want to walk away with a ridonkulous bill 😬
well if you ever figure it out, send me a pm plz!
Will do 🙌🏼
@SeanCassiere mind reporting back here? I'd love to know too! 🙏 🖖 🖖
Yup yup, just need to find a day I'm free.
