This very very heavily depends on where u live
My friend up until recently in the US was making $30k/yr and I know someone who turned down a $2m/yr job offer. So somewhere in that range in the US.
Hungary, 28K USD / year (before taxes), which is ~18.5K USD / year after taxes
Software engineer, backend, junior position
the salary here in the eu is kinda bad and not what im aiming for
but i heard the developers in north amercia earn a lot more
somewhere around 100 000 dollars a year
is that true?
this is very very doable very quickly
i hit 100k+ in about a year in the US
if your good*
but ya, 3-5 years exp and your looking at prob around 120-130
obviously more is possible

Umm yes, that's how it works here lol

If you choose to do it* you can also not withhold and file your own taxes separately

I think a reasonable estimate is -30% to taxes?
You FILE once a year, if you had withholdings through out the yeae your filing defines how much you get back with deductions or other taxes you need to pay based on other non job incomes etc

Yes
do keep in mind you can't compare european salaries with american salaries just like that
a lot of european countries have employer taxes, meaning the employer pays more than you actually see
the employer of someone that makes 5k€ a month in sweden (average) would actually pay like 7-8k€ a month, and these extra thousands cover things like healthcare, pension and other things
I compared salaries before employer taxes and didn't see as huge of a difference anymore
but still, the US has way higher wage inequality of course
thats what i was thinking
