I did some digging and it seems to be firewall related or simply the port that fivem uses has changed for some reason. There are unconventional temporary fixes people have had success with like this: Using the f8 console to direct connect to the server oddly worked. The RSM #1 is cfx.re/join/vjarme So copy that address either by the Rick click context menu or highlight and press ctrl-C. Load fivem - F8 - launch - MP - then click the empty connect box and press ctrl-V to paste the address and then click "connect to host above". I'm doubtful of this but try it and see. I don't see why this would randomly start though unless network settings have changed, or the server may have changed a port, or blocked something due to an update glitch..? Guessing, though unlikely. You may just need to add the port in the fivem settings to 30120 if for some reason if it's not there.
I'm sure there's someone that knows exactly what the cause is. I can only go through a list of things I would do to test and rectify. If it's the defender firewall or you've added something else such as a VPN, that is likely the culprit. @.phantis

Yeah I tried connecting directly with the ip but same thing as before ill try what you said, as far as im aware I havent enabled any vpns or firewall so not sure why this has just randomly started
looks like there was some vpn installed that I didnt install I got a virus or malware on my pc a while ago and it downloaded like 10 different scam vpns and things like Ive uninstalled it ill try connect after updating windows

So u may not be "clean" by any means then. You could be running a miner with a different internal ip, and it's causing the server to reject you. Just because you uninstalled what you say are scam VPNs, it doesn't mean your system isn't still running a delayed exe to trick your anti virus. But you'd need to be more descriptive of where you aquired the programs that were bundled together to judge that. Clean her out! I'd feel dirty having programs in me I didn't ask for ππ₯΄ Did you check fivem settings for the port 30120?

would that localhost port be what you are talking about
because it was empty previously but I put in 30120
im fairly sure I got rid of the virus I did a malwarebytes scan and it detected and removed like 50 or so programs that it found were suspicious and there were no issues after that until now
I can connect to other servers on fivem btw its pretty much just rsm that doesnt let me connect

Ja mon, that port is correct. It's possible that when the server resets whether after a crash or by schedule that it may rectify but I wouldn't count on it. Malwarebytes is notorious for blocking ports but this one should be whitelisted. I'd go into your Bytes settings and check that 30120 is open for fivem. Has Malwarebytes been on your pc for a long time? Something, somehow changed these settings if they are indeed the issue I'd try asking someone like @nut about this, I'm fairly green here.
this is completely irrelevant, that port is used for development on local servers

See? lol
or, better yet, uninstall malwarebytes and any other third-party anti virus because they cause more issues than they prevent most of the time

Agreed π
Defender is great and lightweight
if you stick to the "don't download from sources you don't trust, and don't download binaries (dll, exe, etc)" rule of thumb with defender you'll be fine

Yea but"findlovenow.exe" seems so enticing is your suggestion to disable firewalls as a test as well?

I uninstalled malwarebytes but still doesn't let me connect
also since i didnt pay for malwarebytes it wouldnt let me check what is or isnt allowed
