Background Opacity in WinFroms

I'm trying to create a simple two-layered click-through program in Windows Forms which has a semi-transparent background and a non-transparent label

winforms doesn't support transparency out of the box. while it is achieveable you should simply not be using winforms if you want transparancy

you should be using a different more modern framwork yes WPF support transparancy
