Yeah I have mixed feelings about entirely replacing #help-archive . This is a better format, but would erase all of our search history.

I've personally found that there's zero discoverability in #help-archive
you have to ctrl + F message contents to possibly find your issue

you have to very specifically go to the help channel and look if there's anything new too
I think the icon lights up like other channels when there is something new

If the answers really are quick, they can:
- Ask in #general
- Be directed to an existing #help thread where someone already asked the same thing
to me that's the only con
there's also the option of a megathread to act like #help-archive
as long as it's pinned, it shouldn't unarchive and it'd act the same as a channel

and we end up redirecting people towards #help-archive when the response is going to be longer
if the forums goes well, are we going to delete #help-archive? I think it has a lot of useful old content that would be unfortunate to lose

that seems very cool
posts can be tagged after creation as well, so mods can clean them up
we could have a "setup/install" tag

oh you can also see people typing from the threads page
that's cool
so that people can discuss it
and frankly, it's far nicer as the dev to go through a forum than dense messages, especially if people want to discuss that suggestion
discord also makes making new posts really simple
the only additional overhead is having to put a title but I think that's fair
sounds like a suggestion for discord
but we could just put
title in the message

but issue search is fine
again sounds like a discord feature
I think searching the original message is also fine
but title is more useful by its self

I didn't want to just unilaterally make a decision to switch over. It's a "soft" trial period right now.
If most people seem to like it, then yes I think I'll move #help-archive to a read-only state soon
but we're directing people towards #help anyways, we don't have to close #help-archive forever
but it'd avoid what just happened in #help-archive

I archived a few of these manually that are "done"
I never pinned this
they appear to be AND search for me
Confused on what this would be for
Making libraries?
I'd be concerned this invites questions about general Roblox development
and while we can field some of them, we don't want to make it a normal thing
hmm.. IMO it's probably better to give each popular library it's own tag
so that the library author can filter questions
for now, I'll make tags as I see questions pop up
it probably doesn't make sense to add a tag for every existing library
