(BETA 2) RAT RIG V-CORE TOOLHEAD
Hi everyone, who already has the (BETA 2) RAT RIG V-CORE TOOLHEAD and maybe also a few profiles for the Orca Slicer :)? Fan Setting is the SANYO DENKI 9GAX0412P3S001
small gaps between layers across print. can sand it but just curious what it could be.
Using 0.4 m nozzle and 0.28mm layerheight

Large print warping issue
I printed a large cover, 500x350 and 130 deep.
Printed well. However for for reason the sides are bulging out, and the bottom is bulging in.....what can cause that ?
I have a vcore 3 500, with no cover. Printed in PETG...
heavy distortion between sliced file and print
I have been working my way through a ratrig core v3 build and my print of the vector 3d califlower is come out heavily warped. Lines that should be curved instead have hard edges, the infill pokes out through the print walls and the skirt is inside parts of the print. I have checked the belt tension and more or less has no effect on the print. The biggest factor I can see between these elements is the speed they are printed at, as if that is part of what is causing the distortion, but then there...
Solution:
ANSWER: do not enable arc welding. I had arc welder enabled in cura and klipper was not able to use those arcs and converted them to flat lines. With arc welder disabled things are looking much more promising
Pitting after switching to 0.6mm nozzle
Switched to a 0.6mm nozzle (came from 0.4mm) with a Phaetus Rapido.
I've changed the nozzle size in the printer.cfg, orcaslicer, etc.
I calibrated my E-steps, pressure advance, Flow (EM), and all my little test cubes look good....
Stringing and blobbing with a 0.6 mm nozzle
I'm running the default RatRig 3.1 400mm kit, but with a Rapido 2 and a 0.6 mm nozzle (a MicroSwiss CM2 Copper Hardened Steel V6 nozzle). I'm printing good PLA (Atomic Filament) that has recently been dried. I've run all the calibrations from the setup guide. I am still getting a ton of stringing, though (see pictures).
I have PA set to 0.01, but I tried bumping it up to 0.045, with no change.
I normally print at 205 C, but I tried dropping it to 195 C, with little change. I normally have a retraction of 2.8 mm, but bumped it up to 3.6 mm, with no change. ...

[Klipper] Enabling Bed Mesh Levelling Squishes Dense Parts
Problem:
Parts that are dense or have a lot of moves in one layer seem to get compressed vertically when using ABL. When the part is done it looks squished, and the toolhead is a lot lower than the software thinks it is. For the cubes shown, it's about 4 mm lower than the firmware thinks it is. Turning off bed mesh levelling makes the issue go away completely, but I unfortunately need this for large parts. To confirm, usually I get flawless prints but this issue has arisen on models which linger on a single layer for a long time. Large plates or small dense objects seem to be affected.
Things I've tried:
checking extrusion factor - single-walled cube is spot on...
not retracting
Why is my printer not retracting? I have "use firmware retraction" enabled in orca slicer. And also I found that there is no retraction distance defined in the extruder config, so I defined it in printer config
Wavy patterns in vertical print surface V-Minion. Orcaslicer default profile PLA.
I'm on the most recent Orcaslicer using the default V-minion profile, .6mm nozzle. This is at about 25% speed.
This picture is the vertical on the x-axis front of the printer. The backside is a little bit cleaner. Sides are also cleaner.
Belts seem good. After I saw this pop up I tuned input shaping. I think the extruder rotation distance is good but I might check that again. Bed leveling is good. I've tried different PLA filament rolls, same result. ...
Solution:
Shit nozzle was the cause. New Nozzle and I'm back to perfect prints.
TPU does not print transparent
Hi folks, running into an issue with my print here. I want to get the gasket as transparent as possible, but I fail here.
I´m printing with layer hight 0.32 (0.4 nozzle) width 0.4.
Speed down to 30mm/s, no cooling.
Temp at 220°C and bed 35°C as written by the Reprapper .
As you can see in the pic, it´s quite bad printing. ...
Blobs on edges of top layer infill
I am having trouble smoothing out the top layer. At the edges there is a lot of material that I can't get rid of. I've tried tuning pressure advance but doesn't seem to get rid of it. When I tune flow rate, a significantly lower rate gets rid of the extra material for.the edges but then for the body of the infill it is under extruding with gaps between the lines so you can see the layer under it. Are there any other settings I can try?
corner artifact
What could be causing this corner artifacting?
It's only visible above and below the letter Y, and it's not present on any of the other corners...
strange surface to about 1cm
Vcore300, rapido uhf, nozzle 0,6, orbiter 2.0, orca slicer. i have Strange surface in my print. From bed (left side print) to about 1cm come Strange outer Line and from about 1cm (rightside) all is ok. Where schould I check to make first 1cm ok?
PETG droop on overhang?
I'm printing in PETG with a fairly small overhang, but I'm getting these bulges where the filament doesn't cool enough and droops. There are other prints I do which don't have this issue, so I'm not sure what I can do to improve this. Any suggestions welcome, thanks 👍
Curling issues on my V-Minion
I've been having some issues with certain prints when it comes to curling.
E.g. printing a cylinder vertically comes out superb, but trying to print it on its side causes curling (also things like octagon-shaped objects)
I mostly print PLA at a temperature of 195°C.
Let me just note that I really don't think bed adhesion is the issue. I saw a lot of threads in which people say that but the issue isn't specific to the first layer(s). ...
surface stramgeness
Has anyone had this happen to them?
The surface is otherwise very nice except for that line which looks like it follows the deck shape....
Potential pressure advance issue
I this a pressure advance issue? My infill doesn't always quite fill the gaps when it gets to the edge and I see these divets on all my prints at layer changes.
OVERTURE LW-PLA issues after seam.
Hi there. I am really struggling with this filament. I seem to struggle to extrude after retraction. But it's not all the time. I've attached a few photos which I hope lets you see the issue.
I'm trying to print the GasbONE rc plane from thingiverse. Outerwalls are 0.4mm with infill at 0.5mm.
